A fun experience that allows you to immerse yourself in the dish with no distractions. Great flavor with a fair price. Perfect for after a night of drinking. Definitely worth a try if you have the chance.

Would be a little hard to find without the help of Google maps as it was situated along a small street, also it's a small branch so expect a little waiting time if you head down during peak hours. Despite all that though, the taste is still as awesome and it didn't fail in making me love the ramen all over again. A must try of you're in Japan and staying close to the Ikebukuro area. Don't miss it! It's also walking distance from Ikebukuro station so you can do shopping after your meal!

Very good food and offers possibility to customize orders. Easy to order however queues can be long and without possibility to sit while waiting

Amazing quality ramen. Loved the flavour & ability to customise the noodles/broth how I like. The side of pork was very flavoursome & slightly salty. The egg was cooked perfectly. The service was quick once we were seated (waited about 10-15 minutes for a seat). I liked the individual seating so you can really focus on the flavour of the food.

You cannot leave Tokyo without trying Ichiran Ramen! The Ikebukuro branch is less crowded, so I suggest you eat here instead.

Our first night in Japan and our friend who's a resident here recommended this ramen chain. Very delicious and authentic seating. Overall a very special experience for my first night in Japan! Broth was delicious, highly recommend getting the set!

Went here looking for a late-night feed. The small line outside at 10pm told me that it might be a good restaurant. This was the best ramen I've had so far in Japan. I found the amount of customisation options for your dish pretty crazy and the single-booth seating idea was a quirky highlight of my trip.

Ramen was delicious! This was my first official Japanese ramen experience, and it was quick and amazing! Love the atmosphere and how simple they make it to get a good bowl of ramen!

One of the best ramen of its kind that I have ever tasted as of now. The ramen goes well with a mixed of their premium vinegar! It will be placed I recommend to go on your first day!

Some of the lines are long, but the VR experience is pretty fun. Mario Kart is probably the main reason people go so that has a pretty long line at times, but it's worth it. The only downside is many of the VR experiences aren't as long as id like (Mario Kart is only one lap really) but you can stay for ages and go around and try everything. There's a shop with related merch, and a cafe with various food and drink too. All the drinks are ¥300 and the food ranges from ¥400-1000+ depending what you want. After 5pm the entry fee is cheaper so that's something to consider.

A great choice for the classic Japanese ramen experience. The ticket machine is easy to use and is just cool for a foreigner like myself. The ramen was very tasty and even though there is only one dish, the customization is enough to keep coming back and trying new combinations. Literally went twice in one day since it’s open 24hours. If you are in the area, definitely make a stop here.

Ichiran has the best pork ramen around and I love the way you can sit in little areas by yourself. If you don't like to speak with people, this is the place for you since you place your order by machine and then give your ticket to the cooks. The service was great and the environment was awesome too. I went here several times over my Tokyo stay.

The Ichiran you know and love. There was no line or waiting when I went late night. It can be on the more expensive side for ramen but the taste is great and you can feel comfortable dining solo.

This is without a doubt some of the best ramen I've ever had. The taste is so pure and delicious! The sitting is very nice and gives a very authentic experience, where the focus is on the taste.The only downside to Ichiran is that there are usually a line of about 10-20 minutes, but it is worth the wait everytime!

I think my expectations we're a little too high after watching all the travel vlogs and seeing the reviews for Ichiran. There isn't any specific aspect to complain about, other than the decently long wait in a cramped staircase to get in. The ramen was like any other good ramen place that I've eaten at. If you're from Toronto or Southern Ontario in Canada, I would say the ramen about the same as the Ramen Sansotei chain that's all across the GTA.Overall I enjoyed the experience of eating in a private cubicle-like setting and the dessert was pretty great, but it didn't live up to the hype for me, and wasn't really worth the wait or going out of my way to eat here.

Personally I feel like it’s a bit overrated. The broth is fine and the spicy seosing is great. But I think there a lot more delicious ramens around this place and there is no waiting for a long line like here. If there isn’t any line in front of store I would definitely recommend this place.

Quality meal. You buy your ramen from the ticket machine and a waitress(?) tells you if there’s a wait time and then what booth to sit yourself at. (No/poor English, although I have no issue w this tbh)Ramen was very good but I would’ve preferred my noodles stiffer and egg more runny. The spice was a weak amount while eating and when I began to drank the broth it ended up being overwhelming, I don’t know why this was.A good meal none the less

I am a traveler in Japan visiting every each year and have had these named Noodle shops for long times.This shop is best shop from franchise of same named shops. I think they tried a lot to cook as much as balancing for this noodle . Amazing!!

Absolutely delicious ramen and very well priced. Rich broth, perfectly cooked eggs and great noodles that soak up all the flavor.

It was my first time trying Ichiran. I just think this is a bit expensive for what it is. Like, in my personally opinion - at least for my taste, you can definitely get better ramen for the same price. So why would I choose to come here? That said, it IS tasty, and the cool things about Ichiran are that the ramen is pretty much fully customisable (level of garlic, spiciness, green onions, dashi, I could go on...). There is even a pork free option for those who don’t eat pork. And this branch, at least, is open 24hours - so if you’re in desperate need of ramen at an odd time, maybe this is it.

Ichiran ramen is always great, but as usual, expect to wait in line for a decent amount of time. This shop is 24 hours, so coming early in the morning will get you inside quickly.

At around 9pm the line was still considerably long. The place is not as spacious as other Ichiran shops I have been. It’s kinda small. I don’t know but I did not enjoy the ramen this time. I kinda tasted the raw taste of pork in the charsiu which put me off a bit. Perhaps I’m now past the novelty stage that this ramen brings. But I will still drop by an Ichiran in the future when I get the chance.

Unique and fun experience. It definitely helps to know Japanese or the process (ordering and paying by machine), specifying how you want your ramen, waiting for a booth, etc.

Quick service, great food at a reasonable price. Very cramped space though, so careful if you’re bringing your luggage with you.

Totally worth the wait. This location is much less busy than Shibuya. I arrived at 8PM Saturday night and the wait was 20-25 minutes. I know, it's just ramen, but it was delicious.

Best ramen we had on the trip. Super deep and flavourful tonkotsu broth. Doesn't taste or feel heavy. Very moreish. The matcha almond pudding is also amazing. Super silky and very nice matcha and almond flavour. Easy to order via the machine. You get seated in individual booths. There's space behind you to hand coats, and place bags. Is a busy place and you will need to queue.

My favorite ramen place in Japan. The noodles and the soup taste much better than Mutekiya.

Quintessential Ichiran Ramen experience... delicious!

Amazing noodles! I'll always visit at least one Ichiran outlet every time I visit Japan. Their standards have never changed over the years, and it still remains on the top of my ramen list. Highly recommended if you're visiting Japan!

The first ever place I got ramen, on my first ever day in Japan 3 years ago... I've loved Ichiran ever since! Great flavour, generous helpings and very reasonable prices, plus the entire ordering experience is very easy, especially if you are a non-Japanese speaker. Staff are always friendly and willing to help.

This shop serves great noodle soup. When ordering, recommend to select for rich soup. For side dish, the slice pork with green onion is nice.

First experience with this place. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Has english options for those that need clarification. Food was flavorful. Prior to the food coming out, the customer has the option to pick the spiciness level, texture of the noodles, and other things to satisfy your needs. If you have extra broth left over, you can always order extra noodles for a decent price.
